Discord Announcements Matched to the Live Stream
The next stream-notification update is designed to announce a confirmed public YouTube livestream in General and the matching game or event channel.
Work on live announcements is connecting the final YouTube Go Live confirmation to two Discord destinations: General and the matching game or event channel.
The General announcement is designed to include an @everyone mention, while the game or event announcement shares the stream details without an additional ping. The announcements wait for YouTube to confirm the public broadcast is live, with duplicate protection for repeated clicks or status checks.
This addition is prepared for deployment and testing. It is not a claim that automatic live announcements are already active. Private and unlisted broadcasts are excluded from the announcement flow.
